Troy Bennett Motor Sport (TBMS) is the official Competition division of Rally Management Australia. We have an active presence is a variety of different disciplines of rallying right across Australia, with expansion to the USA and European markets a high priority in the near future.

Troy has been involved in rallying since the age of 3 weeks old! He was introduced to the sport by his late father Sam, a renowned rally competitor, engineer, official and administrator in his own right. Troy was the only child to follow his father into the “family business” (Troy’s older brother Jason is International Sports Broadcaster, but that’s as close as he got!), and he’s certainly done his best to follow in Sam’s footsteps! An active competitor (although not active enough for his liking!), official, Event Organiser, and currently a member of the Australian Rally Commission (ARCom) and Chairman of the CAMS Victorian Rally Panel (VRP), it’s fair to say that a large proportion of Troy’s time is dedicated to the sport, while both awake and asleep!

Having worked under Bob Carpenter at Automotion Motorsport in 1996 and 97, learning the elements required to organise the Australian Safari, Troy came to the attention of Roo Rally, a Cross Country Rally Team supported by Mitsubishi. He competed with them until the end of 2002, when Mitsubishi offered him assistance in setting up his own team, a relationship that continues to this day.

Troy is passionate about assisting new people in getting into rallying, be they young or old! He’s always keen to offer whatever advice or support that he can, even if it’s just a chat! TBMS offers a variety of opportunities for people to get involved, no experience needed; we recruit by attitude, and train as required! If you’d like to get involved in any way, or would like to simply contact Troy, please “Click here”. We’re always interested to hear from new people, and we’re happy to help wherever we can!
